In my spare time I take photos, travel the world, hike, bike, and ski, post on Facebook, and play with my greyhound.
Research interests
“Welcome to the age of the crowd. Just as distributed computing projects like UC Berkeley’s SETI@home have tapped the unused processing power of millions of individual computers, so distributed labor networks are using the Internet to exploit the spare processing power of millions of human brains.”Howe, Jeff (June 2006). The Rise of Crowdsourcing. Wired Magazine, Issue 14.06
I do research at the intersection of information systems, strategy, and economics. My work falls into two broad categories related to network and participatory economies (crowdsourcing), and prediction markets.
